Yeshua was circumcised on the 8th day into the Abrahamic covenant, just like his fathers before Him and according to God’s instructions. These instructions for circumcision included several promises to Abraham in Genesis 17:4:
He would be the father of many nations;
He would inherit the land of Canaan;
His wife, Sarah, would have a son (Isaac) and through him all the nations would be blessed.
