El Kannah—The Jealous God!

El Kannah—The Jealous God! Watch Ariel Blumenthal teach on Romans 11 and how it connects back to the Torah. Has God rejected, or replaced His people?  Which people?

As with the whole Book of Romans, and all of Paul’s teachings, everything is based on God’s words spoken through Moses and the prophets.

The apostle found that his ministry among Jew and gentiles had been prophesied 1400 years before by the “founder” of Judaism himself, Moses, in Deuteronomy Chapter 32. The very idea of “provoking to jealousy” (Romans 11:11) was spoken by Moses in the name of Jehovah, whose very name is “Jealous/zealous.” (Deut 32:21; Exodus 34:14)

Long before Paul revealed to the gentile church their calling to provoke un-saved Israel to jealousy, it turns out this is all part of a long story of Israel provoking the jealousy of God by our idolatry and unfaithfulness—and God promising to provoke us back to Himself by extending His covenantal love to millions of non-Jews. It’s an amazing covenantal-love story that we all get to be part of and play a part in—by faith in the Gospel of Yeshua as revealed in the Holy Scriptures!
