Judges and Justice

The Bible is full of issues of justice, not just grace and salvation. Yeshua wants us to understand and deal with these issues so we can prepare for His coming kingdom. We need to be trained up in His righteousness. The Kingdom of God is a government with a King. His righteousness is His judicial system.
One of the central prayers in Judaism is the standing prayer or the Amidah. Included in this daily prayer is Isaiah 1:26:
I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.
The question in Israel is who decides what is right? What are the agreed upon values that form the basis for judgment? Is it the religious community or the secular government? These internal conflicts are causing chaos in the government and impacting the strategies for the execution of war in Gaza.
Justice demands that both sides of an issue be fully understood before a judgment is rendered (John 7:51). But the facts look different depending on the lens you look through. The temptation is to take sides before the case is fully laid out. Interpreting events without media/one-sided bias is very difficult when a flood of lies is coming at you with such speed (Isaiah 59:14,19). According to Revelation 12:15 this flood is only going to increase.
As believers, we need to apply analytical thinking skills in complex situations. God is asking us to come up higher and engage in judicial thinking in order to help bring His kingdom justice to the earth. Yeshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). He is the ultimate JUDGE and wants JUSTICE to be established under His leadership.
