Liberty!

When I grew up and went to study at the university in Riga in 1985, and as I served in the Soviet Army in 1988, I saw how PROPAGANDA was growing in strength and aggressiveness.

It was also a question of equality when the rights of some people (in my case as a Jewish believer in Yeshua) were diminished relative to the rights of others. Many who grew up in the Free World do not understand me, but this was definitely “suppression of human personality.”

Israel, according to our leaders, is the only democracy in the Middle East. I have always seen and understood it as such, and I have been proud of it, as much as one can “be proud as a believer!” And so, it has been for the past thirty years that I have lived here. You could say what you wanted to say, and maybe not everyone liked it, but your right to VOTE was real. And, as a person, you were equal to others – at least in your rights, if not in your capabilities.

I do not recognize my beloved Israel today!

Why am I writing this to you? I want to provoke you to prayer! Earnest prayer “changes the heart of the king!” We must not lose the Freedom of Personal Choice!

Furthermore, Israel is very dependent on the actions of the US government, which certainly understands what FREEDOM is and can easily influence what is happening in our country. I ask for your prayers and intercession.

Ongoing projects at Shavei Tzion Ministry:

1.Since mid-January we have been supporting elderly people with warm meals that we deliver to their hostels. Many volunteers from our congregation are participating in this ministry. We thank the Lord for this movement and willingness to serve.

2. The outreach to Olim (new Jewish immigrants) and the needy has not stopped since March 2020, and we are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to help in so many ways!

3. We encounter certain difficulties with young people. They are fed up with using ZOOM for their studies, and many ignore our ZOOM meetings for the youth. However, because we see them as the future of the country, we count on them and we invest in them. Please join us in prayer for the youth.

4. The lock-down in Israel has been partially lifted, and we are reopening our Music and Art School (one-on-one lessons). Please support our initiative with your prayers!

Dear friends! Together, we have the option to minister by being active and zealous in practical service. Your prayers and contributions are integral parts of our work for the Lord in the Land of Israel. Thank you for strengthening our arms!!!
