The Islamic calendar and the Jewish calendar are based on lunar cycle. The difference is that the Jewish calendar adjusts back to the solar cycle through a leap year every few years. The Islamic calendar continues just monthly.
Therefore, from time to time the calendars overlap. This year there is an overlap between the Ramadan month (fasting and prayer) and the month of Adar (fast and feast of Esther-Purim). Ramadan and Adar occur at the same time: Mid February to mid March.
Ramadan and Adar and the culmination of the tension with Iran-Israel-America are all coinciding. It's coming to a head. This seems more like a divine convergence than a mere coincidence.
Let us remember that war takes place on three levels:
Spiritual (Ephesians 6) – prayer affects movement of angels and heavenly powers
Mental (II Corinthians 10) – proclaiming truth amid lies in media, academia, diplomacy
Military (Exodus 15) – clash of troops and weapons.
In Daniel, chapter 10, the glorified Messenger of YHVH appears to Daniel and describes the conflict with Persia (Iran). There is an evil demonic prince of Persia and another over Greece. The Messenger says that only Michael, the angelic prince over Israel is helping him. The battle is long and difficult.
Daniel's prayers affect the battle among the angels, which affect the battles on the ground, which affect the outcome of history and politics for centuries to come. This month is a significant turning point.
Lasting peace normally comes after victory in a righteous war. Diplomacy alone usually only brings a delay of the conflict. Let's pray for victory in spiritual warfare, speaking truth in the media, and clear decisive effectiveness in any military conflict.
May there be real deliverance for the beloved people of Iran, both spiritually and governmentally.
