The Passover Story: Kingdoms Colliding

The Passover story starts in Exodus 2:23 with the children of Israel groaning because of their oppression. Their cry touched the heart of God. He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and moved on their behalf.
At that time Egypt was an evil empire dominating the known world. In rescuing the children of Israel, God showed His character of righteousness to liberate an oppressed people group. And He executed judgment, bringing the evil empire to its knees.
The children of Israel who came out of Egypt, together with the mixed multitude, eventually conquered the land of Canaan, and set up the righteous kingdom under King David. The Israelite kingdom laid the foundation for the coming of Yeshua and establishing the Messianic kingdom on earth.
God declared in Exodus 12:12 that He would punish the people of Egypt and also execute judgement on the gods of Egypt ̶ demonic principalities that were ruling over the nation at that time. The kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world are clashing against one another.
How is this pattern being repeated in the Middle East today?
Is the Exodus story part of an on-going narrative of God’s redemptive plan?
In this week’s Global Broadcast, Asher reminds us that God’s heart is always ready to save an oppressed people, deliver them from the bonds of slavery, sin, and demonic cruelty. God remembers His covenant. He is ready to ACT. He is ready to DELIVER. He is waiting for us to cry out with deep longing for His intervention so He can execute His righteous judgements. WATCH today!
