Transition Amidst Crisis

Dear Friends,
In discussion with leaders both here in Israel and around the world, we are hearing a wide range of perspectives concerning the political situation in the United States. (Of course, each one is certain his view is correct!) Even in our senior oversight team at Tikkun Global, there are strong differences of opinion.
Such controversy is a time for all of us to humble ourselves, and be united in prayer, seeking the Lord’s face, crying out for His will to be done. To this end, we are calling for another global prayer event, “Standing with America” – Part two, together with our friends, David Demian, Mike Bickle and Andreas Keller, on Tuesday, December 1. (See announcement attached from Watchmen.org)
All these political-economic-health upheavals are indications of great spiritual warfare going on behind the scenes, clashes of angelic principalities of good and evil. We see the example of the prophet Daniel (chapters 9 and 10); his intercession, repentance and fasting influenced that heavenly conflict, which in turn, influenced history for years to come.
These months of November, December and January are a time of transition. I believe God is calling us as a global “ecclesia” to rise to a higher level of purity and truth; integrity and authority. It is time to enter into our identity as a “government in the clouds;” to sit with the Lord in His throne room, praying from a spiritual position above the political powers of this world (Romans 8:34; Ephesians 1:20-22; 2:6, Hebrews 7:25; 12:1).
Another biblical principle is that times of difficulty can lead to a breakthrough for something better in the future. In Hebrew, the word for “tribulation” – tsarah – צרה has the same root as the word for “birth pains” – tsirei – צירי . Yeshua compared suffering to a woman in childbirth.
“You will weep and mourn, and the world will rejoice. You will be saddened, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. A woman who is giving birth is filled with anguish because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers her suffering” – John 16:20-21.
I love this promise from Yeshua: Your sorrow will be turned into joy. Let’s press through this time of travail and not miss what the Lord has for us.
We are coming into a new alignment, the next stage of God’s kingdom plan. We believe that alignment will be centered in Israel and extend to every nation. As we say, “from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria to the ends of the earth… and back again.” (Acts 1:8, 11). Our hope is that this transition will lead to a new alignment; and that alignment to a greater synergy.
