Transition Principles

As we have been going through some sweeping and significant transitions at Revive and Tikkun, both in Israel and around the world, I thought it would be good to mention a few (7) principles of vision and values that are guiding us through this time:

1. OSV – Our Shared Vision. We are endeavoring to come to a vision that we ALL share. This is not one person or group imposing or dictating. It belongs to all of us. We share it. We believe it is of the Lord.

2. CR – Covenantal Relationships. We continue to hold our relationships in highest priority. Commitment and faithfulness to long term relationships is a foundation to everything we do.

3. GT – Generational Transfer. As the founding fathers are getting older, our goal is to make sure that every area of ministry and congregational life is given over intentionally to the leadership of the next generation.

4. MS – Mutual Submission. As there are many different spheres of activity and authority, we demonstrate our faith and love by seeking to submit one to another. Thus, we glorify the Lord and not a particular individual (Ephesians 5:21).

5. BSO – Balance of Spiritual and Organizational. We are a spiritual body of people, yet we operate also as an organization with legal, financial, and administrative functions. We seek the correct balance between the two.

6. SSS – Serve, Support, Strengthen. We do not seek to dominate others but to lead by example, generosity, and impartation. We serve others; support others; and strengthen others, as God gives us grace.

7. GMJ – Global Movement from Jerusalem. As Yeshua sent us from Jerusalem to the ends of the world and back again (Acts 1:8, 11), we model ourselves after that kingdom alignment. All nations, ethnic groups and continents are part of Yeshua's global plan. Yet that plan had a starting and ending point. There is movement back and forth. Israel is in the center of the nations, both geographically and strategically. This involves a change of perspective for all of us.

As we allow God to "fuse" us together in oneness, we believe there will be nuclear and dynamic spiritual results, even to life from the dead (Romans 11:15).
