Dear Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua,
Â
First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your prayers during this challenging time. Your support and encouragement have made a significant difference and we deeply appreciate your faithfulness.
The twelve days of war with Iran were a mix of spiritual, emotional, and physical battles here in Israel. We witnessed miraculous protection from God, even in the face of overwhelming adversity. [For years Iran has been threatening Israel with thousands of missiles and has been in the process of developing nuclear bombs to put on these missiles. The largest Iranian missile was 1.5 meters in diameter, 13 meters long, weighing 20 tons – capable of flying above the atmosphere, to a distance of 2000 km, at 8 times the speed of sound and more, with an 1800 kg warhead!]
There were significant missile attacks from Iran causing damage in cities like Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, and Haifa. However, we have also seen God's hand at work. For instance, a missile intended for a busy hospital in Be’er Sheva failed to kill anyone because the building it hit had been recently evacuated, highlighting divine protection.
The war resulted in a miraculous victory over Iran, yet, it was also traumatic for many on the home front: 31 families lost loved ones and many hundreds of families displaced after their homes were damaged or destroyed. We are reminded to look to God for healing and comfort, not only for ourselves as believers, but also for the broader community, as Israel grapples with deep emotional scars. We are committed to praying for everyone impacted by this crisis, and we ask you to join us in this prayer.
In our congregation, we maintained communication and support through Zoom prayer meetings, even as we temporarily paused other activities to protect our community from additional trauma. Thankfully, our congregants called to serve in the army have returned home safely. The spirit of resilience was evident in the midst of trials.
Please continue to pray for the congregations, that we may be filled with the Holy Spirit and find courage in this storm. Let us also pray for the families who have experienced loss, as their pain is profound and intense.
May God bless you all in the name of Messiah Yeshua.
