Help Ekballo Rebuild

At Tikkun Global, we believe partnership is about more than joining together in prayer and worship. It is also about joining together to strengthen the Body of Messiah and investing in what God is doing around the world in practical, tangible ways.
One of the ministries we have been privileged to partner with is Ekballo in Nāʻālehu, Hawaii. Recently, you may have heard that name in the news, “Na’alehu” as the village on the Big Island of Hawaii which was ground-zero for Hurricane Lala. Our friends at Ekballo were hit hard! Really hard!
By way of reminder, over the last two years, TG has sent young Israelis—most just out of the army—to join the Ekballo discipleship school for 3 months. We call the program Yalla Aloha. The Israelis join in the middle of Ekballo's one year program for an incredible season of prayer, worship, study community and lots of fun amidst the beauty of the Big Island.These young ones have returned healed, strengthened in their faith and prepared to serve Yeshua.
The Ekballo staff has sacrificed much to serve us and the Jewish people. During the first two years of the Gaza war, Steve and Amy Richards from the Ekballo team spent most of their time in Israel, serving in the war zone on the northern border, training many Israelis—both Jewish and Arab—from their expertise in "wilderness/emergency first aid." And, taking in the Israeli students in the middle of the one year program in Hawaii wasn't always easy. They have given of their time, energy, love and finances to help make Yalla Aloha a success.
Now, they need our love, prayers, and outreach. You can see here some videos and photos of the destruction that Lala wrought on the Ekballo center.

We are trusting the Lord to raise $20,000 for the many needs. We are also looking into sending volunteers to fly out there to help with the cleanup, rebuilding, etc.
