Thanks to our partners and friends around the globe, we were able to send a second group of young Israelis to take part in a discipleship program at EKBALLO Ministry in Hawaii. We are deeply grateful for your faithful support, which continues to make these opportunities possible. The cooperative program is the “baby” of Vered Blumenthal from our leadership team. The heart of it is to bring restoration, grounding, and spiritual renewal to young, believing Israelis, most of whom have recently completed their service in the IDF. While IDF service is always intense and challenging, the last two and half years have been especially so. These young people have been through a lot.
In early January, our Jerusalem team dedicated 5 days of teaching, equipping and team building with the group (5 men and 5 women) before they left for Hawaii on January 11th. Vered accompanied them and spent 10 days with the Ekballo staff and students, working to successfully integrate the Israelis into the already existing program.
Each student from Israel paid a participation fee, but Tikkun Global--through your support-- is subsidizing the majority of the costs.
The program is known as “Yalla Aloha.” The name brings together Hebrew slang meaning “let’s get going” with the native Hawaiian word “Aloha,” reflecting the spirit of this journey. The students will be there for a total of 3 months.

Key moments from the first two weeks included:
Arrival and welcome of the Israeli disciples to the Ekballo coffee farm, followed by shared meals and intentional connection
Worship nights, with Israeli disciples leading some worship in Hebrew
An overnight farm retreat including camping, worship around the bonfire, and shared meals that helped deepen trust and community
Teaching sessions on the history of the program, the “soil of our hearts,” and the theme “God Is Love”
Hands-on work together on the coffee farm, strengthening teamwork and responsibility
Weekly community dinners and worship with local families, alongside smaller group discussions
Dedicated times of prayer for Iran and the Middle East
A meaningful Shabbat celebration, followed by a restful weekend for reflection and renewal
These opening weeks have laid a strong foundation. We are deeply thankful for the partnership with EKBALLO and full of expectation for what lies ahead. Please pray that the Lord will do all He has in mind in the hearts, souls and bodies of these young people in the coming months.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support.
Partner with Tikkun Global and invest in the next generation of leaders shaping Israel and the nations. Your partnership fuels initiatives like this one, along with global prayer movements, Jewish-Gentile roundtables, Jewish-Arab reconciliation, and the discipleship of Israelis in the land.
Note: For security reasons, some participants cannot share their identity publicly, and therefore we are not able to share a group photo of them all.
